Lit Living started with a simple but powerful story – a lighting showroom on the brink of closing its doors.
Our founder, Jason Petersen, bought that struggling business and turned it into a chain of multi-million-dollar showrooms. Along the way, he discovered something that most marketing agencies just don’t understand: how hard it is for small, local businesses to compete with big-box retailers and online giants. The tools were out there – but they were confusing, disconnected, and built for someone else’s world.
Jason teamed up with seasoned marketers, web developers, designers, and writers to build something different. Lit Living, a nod to our roots in the lighting industry, was created. But what we built quickly proved useful far beyond lighting.
We’ve come a long way since our early days. What started as a simple subscription content service has grown into a powerful platform used by businesses across a wide range of industries throughout North America.
